Road project 0003550: GRTA NORTHWEST CORRIDOR ALTERNATIVES DEVELOPMENT
Under Construction · Transit Projects · Routes: 000000 · Funding: NEPA · This project will began on I-75 from where the current system ends at Akers Mill Road and continue to Hickory Grove Road. It is proposed to construct 2 lanes of HOV/HOT in each direction between I-285 and I-575. North of I-575, there is proposed to be only one lane in each direction. A barrier separated system is proposed, and access points will be provided at select locations which will not interfere with general use interchange operation. This project will also construct 2 TOL/TOT in each direction from Akers Mill Road to Hickory Grove Road. This project will also include bus rapid transit (BRT) stations, park-and-ride facilities, and improved local and express bus service proposed by GRTA.
