Road project 0007170: SR 136 @ CHESTATEE RIVER 8.3 MI SOUTHEAST OF DAWSONVILLE
Under Construction · Bridges · Cities: Not City · Funding: NEPA · The proposed project is to construct a 482 foot long bridge to replace the existing SR 136 bridge over the Chestatee River. The project proposes to realign the bridge to the south therefore traffic will be maintained on the existing bridge until it is moved to the new bridge. The existing bridge will be removed as part of this project. The bridge typical consists of two (2) - 12’ lanes with 8’ shoulder. The approach roadway typical consists of two (2) – 12’ lanes with 10’ shoulder (4’ paved). The approximate project length is 0.4 mi. and is located on the Dawson/Hall County line with a design speed of 55 mph.
