Road project 0007838: SR 9 FROM WINDWARD PKWY TO FORSYTH COUNTY LINE
Construction Work Program · Widening · Cities: Alpharetta, Milton · Funding: GEPA · The project proposes to widen SR 9 from Windward Pkwy to the Fulton/Forsyth Co. Line in Fulton Co. to a continuous four lane urban roadway with a raised median. The raised median ranges from 16 to 28 feet. Also, the proposed project consists of the reconfiguration of side roads, addition of pedestrian and bicycle facilities, traffic and operational improvements, and signal upgrades. The intersection at Bethany Bend will be re-aligned into two ninety degree intersections. Left & right turn lanes will be provided at all major intersections. The length of the proposed project is 3.04 miles.
