Road project 0009397: BELT LINE CORRIDOR FROM W OF I-75/I-85 TO BOULEVARD DRIVE

Facility · Cities: Atlanta · Funding: NEPA · This project proposes to construct a 14-foot wide multi-use concrete trail with 2-foot wide stone dust shoulders and a 10-foot vertical clear zone. This project begins in the Adair Park neighborhood near the intersection of Allene Avenue and Catherine Street, and continues to the east along existing railroad right-of-way (ROW) for approximately 4 miles to the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Chester Avenue in the Glenwood Park neighborhood. The project will involve the modification or replacement of various existing rail bridges along the trail alignment. This project will also include the construction of concrete retaining walls with granite fascia along the trail alignment in order to minimize ROW impacts to properties adjacent to the trail.
