Road project 0013375: WEST PIKE STREET FROM SR 316 TO HURRICANE SHOALS ROAD - VRU
Under Construction · Intersection Improvement · Cities: Lawrenceville · Funding: NEPA · This project will improve 0.5 miles of Duluth Highway (formerly SR 120 and West Pike Street) beginning just east of the SR 316 interchange and ending just east of the intersection with Hurricane Shoals Road. A raised skinny median is proposed on Duluth Highway to replace the existing two-way left turn lane. Median opening locations are proposed with left turn lanes at the existing signalized intersections of Medical Center Boulevard, Professional Drive/Philip Boulevard, and Hurricane Shoals Road. Sidewalks and curb and gutter will be added. This improvement is anticipated to help reduce crash frequency and/or severity.
