Road project 0015382: I-285 @ SR 8 & SR 8 FROM I-285 TO SR 280
Construction Work Program · Roadway Project · Cities: Atlanta · Funding: NEPA · The proposed Phase I project is approximately 0.78 miles along SR 8/Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, extending from just east of Fulton Industrial Boulevard to just west of Woodmere Drive. The project scope includes converting the SR 8 and I-285 interchange into a diverging diamond interchange. As part of this work, the current SR 8 bridge over I-285 will be replaced with a new structure designed to accommodate the planned I-285 West Express lanes and adjust the location of access control points away from the I-285 ramp terminals. Additionally, a new two-lane connector road is planned to link Bolton Road with Fulton Industrial Boulevard, providing access to Bolton Road following the removal of the left turn from Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Within the project limits, intersections on DLH Parkway/SR 8 east of I-285 will be realigned and upgraded with new left-turn lanes, signal improvements
