Road project 0018301: SR 3/US 19 FM CS 3498/MARIETTA STREET TO CS 3352/8TH STREET
Construction Work Program · Realignment · Cities: Atlanta · Funding: NEPA · The proposed project would construct a new Northside Drive to provide two northbound and two southbound travel lanes from south of Marietta Street to 8th Street with improved intersections at Marietta Street and Tech Parkway. The project is approximately 0.45 miles long and includes concrete medians and a Reduced Conflict U-Turn (RCUT) intersection at Tech Parkway. To accommodate high pedestrian traffic in the area, a 5-12 ft sidewalk is proposed throughout the project. The project removes the existing separated northbound and southbound Northside Drive. The project will construct a new Tech Parkway intersection that ties into Northside Drive at Hampton St. Walls will be included on the east side of the road between 8th St and 10th St. South of Marietta St the road ties back into the existing bridge.
