Road project 0019890: SR 280 FROM SR 3 TO CR 3281/ATLANTA STREET
Construction Work Program · Roadway Project · Cities: Fair Oaks, Marietta, Not City · Funding: NEPA · The proposed project is a reconstruction/rehabilitation of SR 280 (South Cobb Drive) in Cobb County, with a total length of approximately 2.9 miles. The project begins at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Appleton Drive and extends along South Cobb Drive to the intersection with US 41/SR 3 (Cobb Parkway). The existing right-of-way width along the corridor varies from 105 feet to 215 feet, and the proposed right-of-way width will range from 116 feet to 215 feet. The proposed typical section will provide 11-foot travel lanes within the project corridor. The project proposes operational intersection improvements at the Atlanta Road intersection, relocation of the Fairground Street ramp with a channelized right turn onto South Cobb Drive, construction of an 8 to 16-foot raised median along the eastern part of the corridor, and realignment of the westbound entrance ramp from Cobb Parkw
