Road project 0020200: SR 8 FROM PROCTOR CREEK GREENWAY TO ATLANTA BELTLINE - VRU

Facility · Cities: Atlanta · Funding: NEPA · The project proposes bicycle and pedestrian improvements, including the installation of a multimodal connection between the existing Proctor Creek Greenway Trail and the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail along State Route (SR) 8/Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. The proposed project will replace the existing on-street bicycle lane on the north side of SR 8 with an 8- to 10-foot side path, approximately 0.33 mile in length, by widening the existing sidewalk. Additionally, a two-way separated cycle track, approximately 0.11 mile in length, will be installed on the south side of SR 8 east of Marietta Boulevard, connecting to the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail. The total length of the project will be approximately 0.45 mile.
