Tornado reported near AKRIDGE at 1002 (NOAA event 1244193)

Report source: Emergency Manager. This tornado was rated EF1 with max winds estimated at 110 mph. The tornado initially touched down in a wooded area just west of GA-111 in Northeastern Grady County. Some initial damage to a structure and further tree damage was noted along Rich Road. The tornado continued along an intermittent path before producing more concentrated damage in the area just along and east of Akridge Road near the intersection with New Hope Road. Damage in this area included a single wide mobile home that was completely destroyed. This mobile home had straps securing it to the ground, and one of these straps along with the support frame of the mobile home was lifted out of the ground.
