Tornado reported near FRANKLINTON at 1648 (NOAA event 1257564)
Report source: NWS Storm Survey. Numerous trees had been snapped several feet above|ground, with a few others uprooted, likely caused by winds of|approximately 90 mph (EF-1). These impacted and brought down|powerlines along the roadway. Broadcast media passed along tree|damage that occurred near the broadcast towers located between|Highway 23 and I-16 that was similar in magnitude. The tornado|passed over I-16, causing more tree damage, then impacted Marion|Road, where more uprooted and snapped trees were found consistent|with EF-1 damage.The tornado continued northeast with an|expanding wind field as it passed through a mostly unpopulated|area with tree farms and other operations.
